So what’s in a shoot? Let’s have a look at two types of shoot
Portrait and Commercial - Studio based, or on location.

Portrait:

You’ll have lights, flash guns and camera lenses pointing at you and I agree this can be quite nerve wracking. I will explain what the equipment does and what I’ll be doing throughout the shoot. There will be time to change clothes/outfits if you wish, have a cup of tea during the session, have a quick look at what has been taken, do some more photos and throughout I will suggest any poses that I think you may like. Alternatively if you’re used to this sort of thing then I’ll leave you to it and I’ll just snap away, your portfolio will be done in no time.

Perhaps instead you may want to have the session outdoors, or in your house. Anywhere you’d like really.

Each session is guaranteed to be relaxed and fun. Patience with children and pets is a must. This then guarantees the stunning shots you will be looking for whether they be for the album, a portfolio, a canvas... the list is endless.

Commercial:

Any products you are advertising have to look good. Your web site, advertising feature, flyer, catalogue will all contain your items or services you are selling. A picture paints a thousand words they say. A picture that captures the essence of the excellence of your product not only paints a thousand words but your client will want it too.

An initial discussion about a product shoot takes place to get a feel of the requirements. Lighting is incredibly important in order to capture the style of the client and product. Selling Baileys liqueur requires a totally different style and imagery to that of a chair for example.

The product is normally shot in the studio or on location. Various shots, angles and styles can be experimented with until you are absolutely happy with the final imagery.
